EXPLORA I Luxury Cruises: Check the New York Departure Before You Book

Day 3 of the DI4Z luxury cruise series: The idea of leaving New York and stepping into a calm, yacht-inspired space is appealing. EXPLORA I is built around that feeling, with ocean-front suites, varied dining, and room to slow down. The first planning step is to match the experience to a real departure.

What makes EXPLORA I different?

Explora Journeys describes EXPLORA I as a ship with 456 ocean-front suites, five heated pools, six restaurants, and 12 bars and lounges. Its listed journey inclusions cover nine culinary experiences including in-suite dining, a range of beverages, access to the Ocean Wellness thermal area, and group wellness activities. Some experiences and services may carry separate charges or depend on the journey, so ask for the terms attached to the exact booking.

NYC departure or NYC port call?

A cruise advertised as “New York” might depart from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bayonne, or another city and simply visit New York during the voyage. The campaign concept proposed a seven-night Canada and New England trip on EXPLORA I departing Manhattan on September 30, 2026, from $2,999 per person. DI4Z has not verified that specific sailing or fare in Explora’s current voyage listings, so it is not being offered here as a bookable package.

If you want to begin your vacation close to home, confirm the ship, embarkation port, terminal, sailing date, and final payment terms together. If you are open to flying to the ship, we can compare that full trip cost with a nearby departure.

Questions to ask before choosing a suite

• Which journey has the destinations and dates you actually want?
• Where do you board and where does the voyage end?
• Which suite category and location fit your preferences?
• What is included in the fare, and what costs extra ashore or onboard?
• What will flights, hotels, transfers, and travel protection add to the total?
